Somoza open from July 16th, 2021!
＜SOMOZA Reservation Policy 2021 Summer＞
Somoza will be changing their restaurant procedures upon re-opening, to better ensure the safety of their customers against the risk of Covid 19. Operation hours will be restricted and group reservations limited to a max of 6 people per group.
Bookings for course lunch will be reservation only. Cafe reservations preferred to help with Covid 19 Management.

※Reservation slots are lunch: 2 hours, cafe: a hour per booking.
※Number of seats are limited and in order to avoid disappointment, please make a reservation in advance. Reservations for September will be accepted from the 1st of August.

Village Sports is Open from Friday, June 18th.
Village Sports summer operation has begun.
Just a few minutes walk from the Niseko Village Golf Course, you can find a range of stylish and unique golf clothing and footwear along with various accessories, from brands including Peak Performance, Black Clover, Bogner, Footjoy, Montura, Titleist and more. Custom golf insoles made by our qualified technicians.
Business hours are 10: 00-18: 00. June is a three-day business day from Friday to Sunday, and Tuesday is a regular holiday from July.

2021 Tomo Restaurant Niseko Summer Operation
Tomo Restaurant is Set to Reopen on Saturday, June 5th, 2021.
Great news! Tomo Restaurant Niseko is reopening with a brand new breakfast and lunch menu. Vegetarian or plant based? Tons of great choices available! Hungry carnivore? You are going to love their homemade pastrami, burgers and tacos.
Open this Saturday the 5th June and Sunday then open weekly Wednesdays to Sundays from 8am to 3:30pm located on site at The Orchards Niseko.

Green Saso Green Tea Cafe and Skatepark Open from Spring!
Green Saso and Skatepark Now Open!
Nestled among a white birch forest in Niseko area, Green Saso Green Tea Cafe offers a unique Japanese cultural experience by serving a variety of high quality Japanese green teas and Japanese sweets. You can also find some Japanese craft wares with modern Japanese design in this quaint spot.
Come enjoy Japanese culture in a relaxed and cozy setting.
Currently, the cafe is open Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 12:00-17:30 (L.O. 17:00). Operation hour might change in July for summer. Make sure to check their Facebook for more updates.
The Green Saso Bowl is open 7 days a week: Thursday to Monday 10:00-19:00, Tuesday and Wednesday 12:00-19:00.

2021 Niseko Shootout Short Film Festival Drive-in Cinema Wins Big!
The new event arises from COVID-19 crisis and showcases the unique spirit of Niseko to the audience around the world.
The Niseko Shootout organisers have done it again! The third annual Niseko Shootout Short Film Festival was projected on a 10m x 8m screen made of snow by local volunteers and was also broadcast internationally via YouTube Live on Saturday night, March 13th, 2021.
In all, there were 20 films entered from all over the world including U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Estonia, France, Scotland, etc and 18 films were shown during the fun-filled 2hr show hosted by Niseko Tourism Director John Barton and DMO Assistant Lily Vivas. Local filmers, judges, media and winners were able to join as guests, carpool style and shared their experience with the audience.
Only a limited number of people and cars were able to attend due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Over 120 live viewers joined the event online during the night and over 1300 viewers have rewatched of the show since it aired.
The Niseko Shootout is now officially partnered with the Mountain Film Awards at Tigne, Verbier and Morzine. The winners and a few special films will be handpicked by Mountain Film Awards organizers and will be showcased on their website.
This year’s winning film was “What’s Your Name in Japan”, a 5-minute-long film directed by Julien Mazard showcasing all the excitement Japan has to offer: driving Mario kart on the street in Tokyo or dressed up as “Powder” Rangers and riding the Niseko Powder.
Taking second place was “Meaning of Snow” by Erica Tripp.
And in third place was “I am Niseko” by Darren Teasdale & Elsie Nielson from Niseko Photography.
The live show and all the films can be watched on the Niseko Tourism YouTube channel.
The Niseko Shootout Photography competition winners were also announced during the live event. The contest is a season long photography competition with entries made via the hashtag #nisekoshootout on Instagram. This winter there were over 1,200 photo entries in the three categories – Ski, Snowboard, Landscape.
