Niseko has won all categories for Japan at "World Ski Awards" .
The 2nd Annual World Ski Awards winners were announced in Kitzbühel, Austria, and Niseko United honorably won Japan's Best Ski Resort for two consecutive years!
Launched in 2012, World Ski Awards aims to drive up standards within the ski industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field. World Ski Awards is the sister organisation of World Travel Awards, often referred to as "the Oscars of the travel industry".
This year, the following local facilities also received awards as follows:
Japan's Best Boutique Hotel 2014
*The Vale Niseko won Japan's Best Ski Chalet 2013
- The Vale Niseko World's Best Boutique Hotel 2014
- Hilton Niseko Village Japan's Best Ski Hotel 2014 (second straight year)
- Sekka KanJapan's Best Ski Chalet 2014
The evenings awards were topped off with a special award to local legend Mr Akio Shinya chief of the Niseko Avalanche Research Institute in Niseko, for his mamoth efforts in the ski industry of Niseko over many years and for his contribution to mountain sports in general.

Niseko Marathon 2014
This is the 32nd Niseko Marathon. 1,600 runners enjoined the run throughout the beautiful fall
scenery last year. There will be Food stalls that runners and supporters to enjoy the local produced foods and drinks, also Nihon Ham's super ball catching, Yo-Yo catching and shop Nichi Ham items!
