Regarding Wi-Fi Services on Rapid Airport

Due to numerous requests made from our foreign passengers for an Internet-friendly environment, JR Hokkaido will now be providing Wi-Fi services.

(1) Available on: Some Rapid Airport train cars
(2) Launch Date: Services will begin on October 30, 2018

(3) How to Use: Unlimited Amount of Use (each continuous connection will be limited to use for a maximum 2 hours.)

Niseko Winter Staff Training Programme & Winter Driving Course

The time has come: new winter staff for various businesses around the area are arriving. To assist on new staff training, the Executive Committee has decided to hold  “Niseko Winter Staff Training Programme 2018” and “Winter Driving Course” seminars. Find details below. Applications are due by 16th Nov.
Niseko Winter Staff Training Programme 2018

  • Dates：Nov. 28th 2018 (Wed), 29th (Thu) and 30th (Fri)
  • Reception：8:45am（Seminar starts 9am）
  • Finish：12:30 pm（Estimated）
  • Venue：Niseko Chomin Center（Niseko-cho, Fujimi, 95）10 min walk from the JR Niseko Station
  • Fee　：Free
  • Capacity: 1 seminar=100ppl (total 3 seminars)
  • Content Summary：Basic knowledge of the region, Niseko Tourism Information. Main means of transport to and from the tourist destinations, Japanese culture and manner, Safety rules and information and Precautions when living in a snowy climate    ※The Japanese version may vary slightly in content. Also it is only offered on 29th.
Winter Driving Course
 
  • Dates：Dec. 5th 2018（Wed）AM・PM X2, 6th (Thu）AM・PM X2 *The driving course scheduled on 5 Dec. 2018 was closed for completely full.
  • Reception：AM 9:30（Course starts 10am), PM 1（Course starts 1:30pm）
  • Time：About 2hrs
  • Venue：Kutchan-Cho, Asakigaoka Ski Area
  • Fee　：1500Yen/person（Insurance and Vehicle cost included）
  • Capacity：I class=30ppl (total 4 classes)
  • International driver's license is required

2018　“Tourist destination planning college”

This March, 3 professors of the Architectural Institute of Japan (group of researchers in the field of tourist destination planning) visited Hirafu. Each member of the the Architectural Institute of Japan takes the students to a sightseeing place and stay there about 3 days for a short inspection to feedback suggestion to the locals. This workshop is called “Tourist destination planning college”. This year it will be held in Niseko Hirafu area, Kutchan town. The professors want to do something for this area. They might have ideas from the point of view from outside of this area. Let’s think about Niseko area’s revitalization in the summer season! Anyone welcome! Let’s join the workshop!
