Presented by Niseko Tourism with support from Niseko United, Powderlife Magazine, Hokkaido Core Snow Sports, What's On, Gentemstick, Roko Skis, Rhythm Japan and more, the search is on again for the season’s best, uniquely Niseko moments.
There are total 3 categories in the 2nd annual area-wide photography contest "Niseko Shootout":

The rules are simple. Post on Instagram and use hashtag #nisekoshootout on any of your shots in the Niseko area starting 1st Dec, 2019 until 1st March, 2020.
That’s it! You’ll be entered for a shot at one of the prizes from our sponsors listed below. Additionally, the team at Powderlife will pick a shot from #nisekoshootout to be published in the 2020-21 issue of Powderlife Magazine.
Follow @nisekoshootout to see your shots featured throughout the season and get an idea for what we’re looking for.
*Please make sure don't @nisekoshootout but #nisekoshootout so the judges can see your picture.
*The winner can pick up the prizes in Niseko or be responsible of the shipment of the prizes.

AI Bus Demonstration Experiments in Kutchan Starts from 2 December!
Service between Kutchan Downtown ⇄ Hirafu ⇄Hanazono Ski Resort!
The Hokkaido Department of Transportation will kick off the bus experiment which utilized artificial intelligence (AI) in Kutchan Town.
AI will analyze the destination or the number of the passenger beforehand and determine the most suitable service time and shortest route. With the anticipation of increasing visitors and residents in Kutchan Town, hopefully this AI Bus will become a convenient services for everyone.

Although we previously announced that Niseko Grand HIRAFU will open for this winter season on Nov. 23, 2019, poor conditions due to insufficient snow cover have led us to the decision to postpone. Based on weather forecasts for today and tomorrow, the opening on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 will be postponed.
The ski resort opening schedule after Nov 25 will depend on snow fall and cover conditions.We will inform you on our website as soon as we decide to open. We are continuing our preparations for the season opening at Niseko Grand HIRAFU, We hope for your continued support of Niseko Grand HIRAFU.
