Summer Gondola
Ride a gondola over the treetops and mountain forests in Niseko, up the slopes of Mt. Annupuri and take in the stunning, panoramic vista. Taking a gondola is a great way to enjoy an uninterrupted view of Mt. Yotei surrounded by quaint farmland, rivers and forests.
There are three summer gondolas in operation in Niseko each summer. The Annupuri Resort gondola, Grand Hirafu gondola, and the Hanazono Niseko gondola. Make sure to check each website for opening hours and operation dates.
Note: The Grand Hirafu gondola is not in operation for the 2022 green season.
Summer Gondolas in Niseko
Annupuri Resort
The Annupuri summer gondola is located on the south western side of Mt. Annupuri, and has a seating capacity of six. The ride to the top takes about 10 minutes, and goes to an altitude of 1,000m where there is a spacious viewing area.
As it sits on the south western side of Mt. Annupuri, there are wonderful views of Lake Toya, Mt. Usu, and Uchiura Bay. This gondola is dog friendly, however dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Niseko Hanazono Summer Gondola
This luxurious 10 seater gondola is located at the base of the Niseko Hanazono resort and offers visitors a great view of the surrounding area. With large floor to ceiling windows, passengers can enjoy incredible aerial views of Mt. Yotei during the 6 minute journey. This gondola goes to an altitude of 658m.
While in Hanazono, make sure to try the Hanazono Zip Line – an exciting zip line tour, flying over the treetops. Guests on the zip line tour will use the Hanazono Gondola during the activity.
Pets are allowed, however they must be on a leash at all times.
Hirafu Summer Gondola
Soar over the green hills of Grand Hirafu in the Hirafu Summer Gondola. The gondola starts at .Base in Hirafu and reaches the famous thermometer offering visitors stunning views of the entire Niseko area.
The resort offers seating and a large relaxation area throughout summer. Enjoy exquisite views of Mt. Yotei and the surrounding farmland, rivers and forests.
Please note that the Hirafu summer gondola is not operating for the summer of 2022.
