The local cookbook “Harvest Niseko” has won The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards under three categories: “First Book” and “Cooking School Book” and “Photography”!
Created by long-time Niseko local chef Tess Stomski, Harvest Niseko is more than just a cookbook. It showcases an incredible world of stories surrounding the lives of local farmers and what goes on behind the scenes of Niseko’s now-famous food industry. It’s the direct relationship between chef and farmer in Niseko that adds the uniqueness and quality to the dining experiences here, and you can discover all this in Tess’s book.
Harvest Niseko includes 100 exquisite new recipe created in collaboration with Chisato Amagai, another local chef and colleague at Tess’s catering company Niseko Gourmet. The dishes are easy-to-cook modern Japanese, with some taking inspiration from French, Italian or Asian cuisine but incorporating local ingredients.
