Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Boot Solutions Niseko Hirafu. The ideal candidate will have a passion for winter sports, excellent communication skills, and a strong customer service orientation. As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers, selling accessories, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming store environment. You must have a valid work visa for employment in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, and offering expert advice on accessories and gear.
  • Promote and sell a variety of winter sport accessories and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store display.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Manage stock levels, assist with inventory control, and restock as needed.
  • Help customers find the right products for them, ensuring that they have the best equipment for their needs.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cashing up and preparing the store for the next day.
  • Maintain product knowledge to advise customers on the latest trends, products, and promotions.
  • Support other team members in achieving store goals and maintaining a positive working environment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid work visa for Japan.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Experience and passion for winter sports (skiing/snowboarding).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Japanese language skills are a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during busy seasons.
