JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a passionate marketer with a love for travel and destination marketing? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join The Luxe Nomad as a Marketing Manager and be responsible for driving the growth of our inbound sales channels in Hokkaido. We are looking for a flexible and versatile marketer who can develop effective strategies and execute impactful marketing campaigns. If you have a creative mindset, hands-on experience with web analytics tools, and a knack for turning ideas into successful marketing campaigns, we want to hear from you. Help us build and maintain a strong and consistent brand presence across a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead, develop and implement strategies and tactics to increase awareness of The Luxe Nomad/NISADE and generate qualified traffic to our website and individual property websites. 
  • Take ownership of marketing campaigns, from conceptualisation to execution.
  • Set up various organic and paid acquisition channels, such as content creation, pay-per-click campaigns, social media, event management, and more.
  • Create valuable and engaging content for The Luxe Nomad/NISADE website, social media channels, and Wanderluxe blog to attract and convert our target customers.
  • Build strategic relationships and collaborate with key industry players, vendors, and agents.
  • Monitor and allocate the marketing budget effectively on a monthly and annual basis, with input from HQ. This includes the submission of purchase orders to the Accounts team for all marketing spend items.
  • Oversee all marketing materials, including display advertising, brochures, sales reports, and marketing reports.
  • Measure and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insights, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyse consumer behaviour and optimise email and advertising campaigns accordingly.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the General Manager and management team, including analytics, recommendations, events, budgeting, and planning updates.
  • Manage recruitment, performance reviews, rostering, staff leave and overtime approvals contract management, and position description reviews for the Marketing Department staff.
  • Collaborate with the Reservations team on the development of new promotions, sales initiatives, and advertising campaigns.
  • Coordinate the analysis, maintenance, and smooth operation of the company’s website(s), social media platforms, and other online presence in conjunction with HQ team.
  • Work independently driving the local marketing team forward whilst aligning with an overall company-wide direction and reporting to the Group Head of Marketing. 
  • Lead branding efforts, style guide development, and competitor analysis (HQ involvement may be required).
  • Build and manage the marketing calendar, promotions, and take actions based on analytics.
  • Provide leadership, structure, motivation and development opportunities to the marketing team.
  • Oversee training of the marketing team and other internal teams in digital technologies.
  • Act as the primary contact for marketing matters when liaising with tenants, developers, and contractors.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  1. BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent industry experience of at least 5 years, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  2. Proven track record in identifying target audiences and creating engaging and effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  3. Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
  4. Experience in setting up and optimising Google AdWords campaigns. SEO and SEM knowledge is ideal.
  5. Numerical proficiency, comfortable working with numbers and analysing metrics using spreadsheets.
  6. Aesthetic sense and a passion for compelling copy and communication.
  7. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
