Niseko Portfolio is an innovative property management and holiday rental company operating a growing portfolio of accommodation in Niseko and Rusutsu. We provide a variety of quality accommodation and hospitality services in boutique hotels, condominiums and holiday homes. We build strong relationships with our clients, ensuring that all of our customers get the best out of their holiday.

As a Lodge Host couple, you will be solely responsible for taking care of our guests’ needs, maintaining cleanliness and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will need to be able to interact with guests at any time – recommending restaurants, helping them book activities and generally making them feel at home

• Ensuring guests have a seamless check-in and check-out experience

• Solely responsible for emergency matters within the lodge

• Provide information and assistance to our guests wherever required

• Communicating with guests via phone call, email, face to face and on OTA platforms and managing pre arrival information

• Booking services for guests, answering guest requests and giving recommendations on activities and restaurants

• Safely transport guests to and from various locations within the area (Ski Shuttle)

• Housekeeping duties, including full changeovers and linen orders

• Maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment

• Removing snow from vehicle and property

• Working and communicating as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the operation

• Preparing continental breakfast

• Communicating any grievances to management as required

• Documentation of any new procedures

• Control and management of stock and ordering

• Previous experience in Chalets or Lodges

• Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or travel industry preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Japanese) are a plus

• Passion for travel, outdoor recreation, and exploring new destinations

• Valid International Driver’s License

• Must have or be eligible for a Japanese Working Holiday Visa

• Fixed monthly salary (working hours are not fixed and depend on your efficiency and time management, but this role normally requires approximately 40 hours per week)

• Seasonal employment with the opportunity for extension (Dec 1st, 2024 – March 15th, 2025)

• 50% Grand Hirafu – Hanazono Lift Pass value reimbursement upon completion of the contract and end-of-season performance review
