Job Description:
We are currently seeking a meticulous and motivated individual to join our team as an Accommodation Checker for the upcoming winter season. As an Accommodation Checker at Niseko Portfolio, you are responsible for committing to our high standards of cleanliness to ensure our guests’ holidays are relaxing and comfortable.
Responsibilities:

Performing pre and post-arrival checks

Gaining extensive knowledge of all of our properties

Assisting the housekeeping team with duties

Collecting and delivering linen
-
Garbage pick-up
-
Assisting other guest services departments
-
Driving housekeeping staff to our numerous properties

Ensuring lights and appliances are in working order

Completing daily inspections to ensure that the cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meet our high standards

Inspecting properties for damages and maintenance issues

Ensuring a seamless check-in experience by ensuring the housekeeping and property condition is to the highest standard

Ensuring accommodations have all required amenities and extras

Assisting guests by handling requests

Working and communicating as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the operation
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience as a housekeeper/checker is preferred
-
Passionate about providing exceptional service
-
Track record of high standards of cleanliness
-
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
-
Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Japanese) are a plus
-
Passion for travel, outdoor recreation, and exploring new destinations

Valid International Driver’s License
-
Must have or be eligible for a Japanese Working Holiday Visa
Benefits:

30 – 40 hours per week (busier during peak season)

Seasonal employment with the opportunity for extension (Dec 1st, 2024 – March 1st / 15th, 2025)

Competitive hourly wage – ¥ 1600 per hour

50% Hirafu Hanazono Lift Pass value reimbursement upon completion of the contract and end-of-season performance review
