Position Summary

The Marketing & Content Specialist position is responsible for managing, developing, and executing content based on marketing strategies set by Marketing Manager to achieve overall business objectives and customers or end user’s needs.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Job Duties:

Content Marketing:

  • Develop content to be used across all digital media platforms, such as social media, websites, blogs, newsletters, video, and photo assets.
  • Ensure content for all Rhythm brands/group is in-line with marketing strategy, industry trends and technology development.
  • Monitor and manage assets and content on all digital marketing platforms to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Drive photographers and videographers to ensure shot lists are completed and are in accordance with the marketing strategies, including but not limited to coordinating with athletes, riders, and models photo shoots.
  • Establish style guides that specify style and tone needed to create engaging content.
  • Collaborate with external media sources to create and promote press releases which cover all newsworthy information pertaining to the organisation.
  • Work with Operations and Retail departments to build content for in-store and on-line marketing activities.
  • Develop and execute content plans in alliance with the marketing strategies set by the Marketing Manager.
  • Create and promote social campaigns in accordance with the promotional plan set by the Marketing Manager.
  • Take action on promotional plans and all marketing material in line with the marketing strategies which accurately represent all Rhythm Brands/Groups.
  • Initiate and analyse data reports to increase understanding of target audiences and what content creates engagement for the end user’s needs.
  • Prepare reports to be shared with management to highlight digital marketing performance/results as per scheduled or requested by the Marketing Manager.
  • Manage all external & internal communications for digital related assets and leads.
  • Respond and manage social media platforms and info emails.


  • Identify opportunities for events and local activity for all Rhythm brands/groups.
  • Help plan, organise, and manage events and activities.
  • Identify event sponsorship opportunities and negotiate terms accordingly.
  • Ensure there is a strong brand presence at sponsored events.
  • Collect and organise event related assets including but not limited to photos, attendance, and engagement reports.
  • Prepare post-event summaries to be shared with event sponsors and management team accordingly.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related disciplines with at least 2+ years’ work experience in a Marketing role.
  • Passionate about marketing and working in ski/snowboard industry
  • Solid understanding of handling SEM campaigns and paid social media. Able to derive insights from Google Analytics to facilitate tasks.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English is a must, Japanese is an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Excel, Word, Experience with WordPress, eDM and photoshop
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Setsu Niseko - Reservations & Sales Officer

Job Overview

The Setsu Niseko Reservations & Sales Officer will be responsible for executing the sales strategy of selling accommodation and guest services to potential guests.

Guests will contact the Reservations Officer via e-mail, through our website, or via phone, and the Reservations Officer must communicate effectively with the guest to find the proper accommodation/guest services which fit their needs whilst ensuring an excellent guest experience.


Responsibilities and Duties:

The key tasks that are required of this person include:

  • quoting and processing booking enquiries with guests via email and telephone
  • updating and checking rates on OTA channels
  • following up with the guest on outstanding matters
  • monitoring the local market to help in the planning of future sales strategies
  • handling agent and OTA bookings via email and telephone
  • support with PMS system updates
  • support of the sales and marketing personnel
  • training of seasonal staff for Guest Services roles
  • supporting the wider sales team as necessary


Reports to: Setsu Niseko Sales & Marketing Manager and Sales & Marketing Senior Manager

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 2 years experience as sales staff in the tourism industry
  • must have a native level English language skill and business level Japanese language skill to communicate with all staff and guests within the group
  • always be punctual and considerate of fellow colleagues
  • passionate about the winter season and have a love of the outdoors
  • self-motivated with a drive to improve business outcomes
  • be a flexible and engaged team member
  • ability to learn quickly and follow processes
  • attention to detail is a must.

MNK Niseko has a wide-ranging customer base from the Domestic Summer market to a year-round presence of international customers. The guest services team undertakes all duties regarding a customer’s stay from pre-arrival, check-in, in resort services and after departure. Individual tasks can include pre-arrival correspondence, handling in-resort queries, additional guest service bookings, maintaining and conducting property checks, and coordinating the day-to-day operations. In peak season our resorts have become very popular, with a range of customers from a wide-ranging demographic. It is key to our business that the customer service team operates efficiently and at a high level of service delivery. We are looking for a responsible and reliable l team member who will go the extra mile to make sure that our guest services run as efficiently and effectively as possible. Our Guest Services team will have the biggest impact on the customer experience. Key Responsibilities

You need to be passionate about providing exceptional service and ensuring our guests have a great experience. Your service becomes our company reputation, and you have a big responsibility in looking after our guests, delighting them, and helping them have a wonderful holiday. Your role includes providing a professional, informative and friendly service, and attending to guests, staff and suppliers on the phone, by email and face to face, dealing with queries, arranging services, providing village information and local knowledge.

  • Greeting all guests and suppliers when visiting/calling our resorts
  • Performing guest check-ins/outs for both Japanese and international guests
  • Performing property checks both pre and post guest arrival
  • Full knowledge of all MNK services, products, activities, and accommodations
  • Recommending, booking and confirmation of MNK services, tours and activities.
  • Upselling of EdVenture/Elevate, tours, products and services.
  •  Efficiently handling customer questions and requests on the phone and in person.
  • Checking emails and promptly replying to the customers.
  • Confirmation and administration of transfers and departures for customers.
  • Handle complaints where possible.
  • Clean and maintain the reception and common areas of the resort receptions.
  • Maintain the reception email, daily checklists and administration
  • Performing/Managing and organizing customer shuttle services
  • Communication with Reservations and maintenance teams
  • Snow clearing, safety and maintenance checks or our properties

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in a previous hospitality/guest services role preferred
  • Face to face customer service experience essential
  • Must be able to use your initiative and work well under pressure
  • Applicants must show a level of maturity while still being fun to work with
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to assist our guests
  • Comfortable with physical work and up for a lot of snow clearing and driving!
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Japanese Drivers License
  • Applicants must be a Japanese native speaker and also able to communicate in English

Working Hours

40 hours per week, 5 days per week


¥210,000 monthly salary (depending on experience and language ability)
