Rules for Niseko United
Small Unmanned Aerial Devices and Specified Aerial Vehicle are Prohibited
Flying over, around, or potentially affecting the Niseko United Resorts’ ski slopes, lifts, and other facilities is prohibited except with special permission. There are many skiers and passersby on the ski slopes and facilities, and in the unlikely event of a collision with a person or property, extensive damage could occur. This prohibition applies to avoiding collisions with people or property due to sudden strong winds, radio communication problems, malfunctions, pilot error, or other safety reasons.
- Flying a small unmanned aircraft under control or automatic operation
- Unmanned airplanes (radio-controlled airplanes, etc.)
- Unmanned gliders, unmanned rotorcraft (drones, etc.)
- Unmanned airships, etc.
- Flight by a person using specified aeronautical equipment
- Balloons
- Hang glider
- Paraglider, etc.
- No person is permitted to take off or land on the Resorts’ private property and managed area using specified aeronautical devices or small unmanned aerial vehicles.
- No person is permitted to ride the lifts and gondolas with specified aeronautical equipment.
- As an exception, specified aviation equipment may only be flown by authorized license holders at the Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area during the summer season.
Laws Regarding Drone Usage in Japan
We recommend checking the official laws on the National Police Agency website for details on where drones can be flown, and what rules need to be followed. The Drone Laws website also has an excellent and easy to understand summary of all the laws in Japan regarding drone use.
Other Activities at Each Resort
Annupuri
Ski, snowboard, snowscoot, snowmoto are allowed to ride in Niseko Annupuri area. Other gears (sled, snow strider, snow racer, yuki-ita and others) are not allowed to ride or use in Niseko Annupuri area.

Niseko Village
Snow Scooter & Snow Scooter Restricted use in Niseko Village Ski Resort
- Only allowed on Community Chair and Banzai Chair.
- Not allowed on the Niseko Gondola.
- Snow scooter/bike with a saddle but no footbands are NOT allowed.
- Snow scooter/bike without a saddle but has secure footbands are allowed.
* Please ensure a safety leash is attached to your snow scooter/bike.
* For other information, please consult our lift staff.
Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu
Ski, snowboard, snowscoot, snowmoto are allowed to ride in Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU area
Other gears (sled, snow deck. snow strider, snow racer, yuki-ita and others) are NOT allowed to ride or use in Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU area.

Hanazono
Ski, snowboard, snowscoot, snowmoto, and snowfeet are allowed to ride in Niseko HANAZONO resort area.
Other gears (sled, snow deck, snow strider, snow racer, yuki-ita and others) are NOT allowed to ride or use in Niseko HANAZONO resort area. Please inquire if you need more information.
