Chalet Ivy Hirafu is a small luxury hotel located just 3 minutes from the Grand Hirafu ski area and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
In addition to a total of 78 guest rooms, the hotel is equipped with an authentic Japanese restaurant, a lounge bar, a natural hot spring, an indoor gym and a ski and snowboard rental service with concierge.

Based on the concept of “making every guest feel at home”, the hotel offers a healing space with the cosiness of a holiday home through personalised hospitality and high quality service, which can only be achieved in a small hotel.

Seasonal staff (part-time)

Early December 2022 to the end of March 2023 (extension after April is also possible)

[Working Hours]

30 to 40 hours per week (average 7-8 hours/day)

[Job Openings]

Front of House (Restaurant service staff)

  • Job description: Restaurant hall duties, such as taking orders, serving dishes, and clearing plates
  • Qualifications: can provide service and take orders in English, without experience are welcome as long as you have motivation!
  • Other: Greater possibility of increased wages depending on language skills

Ski Concierge

  • Job description: Assist guests with snow sports rental equipment -skis, snowboards, boots, wear, etc., and managing rental equipment.
  • Qualifications: Can interact with guests in English, candidates with experience preferred, skiing/snowboarding experience, love customer service
  • Other: If you can give advice to guests on how to enjoy the mountain (e.g. snow conditions on the day, recommended courses, etc.), you are most welcome!


Hourly wage from 1,200 yen (based on experience and skills)
*25% more per hour during late night hours (22:00-5:00)!

We provide staff accommodation about 20 minutes’ walk from the hotel (work place)

2 persons room is JPY 25,000/month per person.

We support season passes for half the price. (Must be working until the end of March)
