Hokkaido, Japan, May 15 — The Niseko area, a world-renowned winter destination & growing summer resort area, was again host to NISEKO GRAVEL, a series of mixed surface rides organized by HOKKAIDO EVENTS. The May 15th NISEKO GRAVEL SPRING RIDE was a 45km course & took approximately 100 participants through remote forest roads, alongside rivers roaring with fresh snowmelt & across stretches of scenic tarmac.

This is the second gravel event organized by HOKKAIDO EVENTS with the organizer´s inaugural gravel ride “NISEKO GRAVEL 2021” having been held in summer of 2021.

“We couldn´t be happier with how the NISEKO GRAVEL series is continuing to grow.” Said a spokesperson for HOKKAIDO EVENTS. “The event is a great way to showcase all that Niseko has to offer and we can´t wait to welcome riders back to Niseko for our upcoming ride in September.”

The Niseko area will see the return of the main annual event, NISEKO GRAVEL 2022, on September 4th, 2022. The course will be the longest yet & will bring riders through some of the areas most remote stretches of paved and unpaved roads.

Logo design CompetitionUnveiling the new Official logo

Also, the “NISEKO GRAVEL Logo Design Competition” which was held from March 11 to 31, 2022, we had more than 100 entries, the official logo has been chosen to Huy Pham´s work (Hokkaido).

Huy Pham´s comment;
I choose mount Yotei as the representative element of the Niseko area natural beauty, and the bicycle’s tire to represent the
gravel sport aspect.
The logo focuses on composition for impact. Minimum use of features to ensure the recognizability across all media
platforms.
The logo will be used in various places to represent NISEKO GRAVEL. Thank you very much to everyone who applied!
