We are looking for someone to take on the role of Head Bar/Front of House operations for our restaurant in Niseko. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to deliver a high-quality menu, motivate our team and provide excellent customer service. In this role, you will be expected to switch between managing the bar and assisting with front-of-house operations. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our team during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have a great dining experience.

We are looking for someone to take on the role of Head Bar/Front of House operations for our restaurant in Niseko. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all bar operations from the flow of service to stock management and ordering
  • Lead/Assist with front-of-house operations
  • Daily cash out and managing POS systems
  • Assist the manager with the reservations system and guest bookings
  • Willing to hold the title of Sanitation or Fire prevention manager.
  • Regularly provide feedback to staff in a constructive and positive manner to instil a culture of continual improvement and development
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Be an active member in continual staff training by promoting excellence in Food, Beverage and Service flow practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
  • Help colleagues and ask for help when needed, jumping in if someone needs assistance (despite their role or section) while maintaining own responsibilities
  • Remain guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

Selection Criteria

  • English and Japanese language skills are required
  • Proven customer service experience as standards
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management account keeping and POS software
  • Strong leadership, motivational and intra-personal skills
  • Financial management skills

Working Hours

40 Hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days

Remuneration

250,000-280,000 JPY per month based on language skill and experience
