The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and design of all food and beverage menu items
- Maintain a high level of quality and consistency of all food items served to our customers
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our agreed upon quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Regularly provide feedback to staff in a constructive and positive manner to install a culture of continual improvement and development
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Maintain a fun and comfortable atmosphere for guests
- Remain guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Selection Criteria
- Proven work experience and references from working in restaurant kitchens
- Demonstrate a variety of cooking styles, and understanding of different ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Proven knowledge of and adherence to food handling and storage safety protocols.
- Knowledge of advanced food storage techniques such as fermentation, pickling and dehydrating and being able to incorporate those techniques into the menu would be of particular interest.
- An adaptable and flexible nature
- Familiarity with restaurant management account keeping and POS software
- Strong leadership, motivational and intra personal skills
- Experience working in Hotel Kitchens and providing F&B services in in-house guests
- In-House Dining and Catering experience
- Japanese language skills is an advantage
Working Hours
Working days/hours will vary depending on business
Remuneration
¥270,000 – ¥320,000 per month depending on experience
