About us
Rhythm Japan has been operating since 2005 and has since grown into one of Japan’s most successful ski and snowboard rental and retail outlets. We operate multiple stores across 3 locations of Niseko, Hakuba and Furano which are some of Japan’s most well known ski resorts. Due to the nature and the seasonality of the business the majority of our recruiting is primarily focused on the winter season and our team can fluctuate up to several hundred staff in winter. We are a tight team of awesome individuals who share a passion for the snow and mountains who have made it their lives to ride pow and create epic experiences here in Japan for our team and customers.
The role
The role of the Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for assisting Rhythm customers by handling customer and agent questions and inquiries pairing them with the best products and services that Rhythm can provide to ensure that the customer has the best possible experience.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Field and coordinate general customer enquiries
- Assist and advise customers with ski and snowboard equipment/ hire and ski and snowboard lessons based on their needs and requirements
- Responsible for all administrative and accounting tasks for bookings and invoices
- Ensuring all inquiries and booking requests by the agents and partners are handled in timely manner
- Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services, sales or special packages at the Sales Counter in-person, over the phone and email.
- Assist with the overall sales strategy and action plan contributing to the optimization of rental and sales revenue
- Reconcile booking & referral reports on a monthly basis
- Assist with the Japanese translation
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful as a Reservation Sales Agent you must be able to work with minimal supervision and have excellent customer service skills. Additionally, you should be able to up-sell and have excellent knowledge of deals and savings available to customers. Demonstrate strong proficiency in both English and Japanese language in areas such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Business applications and a general good understanding of technology. A good knowledge of the local Niseko and Hakuba area is a bonus!!
