The Maintenance Crew is responsible for the timely execution of spot and routine maintenance, assigned by the Maintenance coordinator in ensuring the MnK-managed properties and owned assets are adequately managed to the standard required for the property owner. The individual is to also the wider team in assisting with Facilities inspection, landscaping, and snow clearing where required. A key part of our company culture is regular, cross-department communication and contribution across all of MnK Niseko’s functions. We help each other. That could mean driving a guest to the mountain, helping to clear snow, or participating in a brainstorming session.

The role will be incorporated into the Property Management Department. The individual will be reporting to the Maintenance Team Supervisor and will primarily be undertaking minor maintenance where required and delegated and assisting with preventative maintenance and on-site support to ensure the quality and timely delivery of Property Management services for existing and future Owners. A strong candidate must have past property management experience and be able to undertake the varying tasks of the team to a proficient level, with excellent communication, problem-solving, task management, and delegation ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • The general upkeep from visual to functional maintenance to managed properties.
  • Organising appropriate contractors for arrangement of quotes and site attendance.
  • To undertake assigned tasks and troubleshooting for the MnK managed properties and MnK owned properties.
  • Regular recording of task progress in the task management system to ensure everybody is informed.
  • Out of hours emergency response.

Key Qualities

  • Ability to assess, identify and report, and appropriately rectify the core issue at hand.
  • Experience with general carpentry and minor repairs within a house.
  • Understanding and ability to use tools appropriately.

  • Over 2 years’ experience in Maintenance and or property management.

Working Hours

40 hours per week

Remuneration

Starting at ¥240,000 per month to ¥280,000 depending on experience and/or language ability

Employment Period

1-year contract with a possibility of extension
