Niseko Tourism is seeking to hire a self-driven and highly competent General Manager to lead and influence our organization towards favourable growth and to design and direct strategies that support and enhance our organizational operations.
Niseko Tourism’s mission is to strengthen the Niseko area as a year-round destination of great natural splendour and publicize the site domestically and internationally. The Board of Directors consists of representatives from the Niseko ski resorts, and local business operators.
Position Summary:
The General Manager position is responsible for creating organizational plans, overseeing day-to-day activities, improving organizational efficiency and performance, developing organizational culture, supervising staff, reporting on revenue, and directing organizational strategy.

Responsibilities (Included but not limited to)
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualise organisational objectives.
- Monitor organization operations and ensure employees and business practices comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop strong partnerships with the Board of Directors and stakeholders and create efficient communication with members and other relevant parties.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect business interests.
- Manage employees and ensure they achieve the set strategy/KPI.
- Oversee the organization’s financial status, report revenue and expenditure and manage cash flow.
- Provide strong leadership in strategy, finance, and communication to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the organization.
- Facilitate on securing government subsidies.

- Strong public relations, marketing, and fundraising experience and understanding

- Business Fluency in Japanese
- Fluency in English and additional language skill is an advantage
- PC software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web updating, etc.)
- Driver’s license (valid in Japan)
Work location: Niseko, Hokkaido
Work hours: 9 AM to 6 PM (60-min. break; actual hours are 8 hrs.) 40 hours per week Job may include domestic and overseas business travel.
Salary:
- From JPY500,000 to JPY600,000 per month dependent on skill/qualification.
- Japanese Health Insurance and Pension according to the law.
- Commuting allowance to and from your home to work per month.
- VISA sponsorship can be discussed.
- Yearly rolling contract.
