Winter Childcare Specialist
Niseko Kids Club is a leading holiday childcare company nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Niseko, Japan. We take pride in providing exceptional care and engaging activities for children year-round, with a special emphasis on winter childcare services. We are currently seeking dedicated Winter Childcare Specialists to join our team for the 2023/2024 winter season.
Position Overview
As a Winter Childcare Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children ranging from newborns to 12 years old. Your responsibilities will encompass both our daycare center and babysitting services, requiring adaptability, patience, and a genuine passion for childcare.
Responsibilities
Daycare
- Provide day-to-day guidance and active supervision of the children in our daycare centre.
- Plan and engage children in enriching, play-based, age-appropriate activities.
- Oversee feeding routines and attend to the general well-being of each child.
- Cultivate open, effective communication with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Observe, document, and track children’s activities, development, and behavior.
- Ensure that indoor and outdoor learning environments are maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition.
- Carry out necessary administrative tasks and other duties as required.
Babysitting
- Arrive promptly at the client’s accommodations, ensuring a safe and engaging play area.
- Establish a rapport with parents and gather relevant information about the children.
- Maintain a hazard-free play environment by sanitizing equipment, games, and toys.
- Attend to personal care needs including diaper changes, dressing, and meals.
- Foster good personal hygiene and health habits in children.
- Engage children in hands-on activities tailored to their interests and developmental stage.
- Maintain individual records for each child.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of childcare experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, exhibiting patience and empathy.
- Completion of First Aid and CPR training and certification (including infant care).
- Valid Working with Children check.
