Fulltime – Sales, Reservations & Marketing Manager

The Reservation and Marketing Manager’s primary focus will be to increase revenue, through a focus on consumer markets and competitor marketing tactics. This person needs to be technologically savvy and have an in-depth knowledge of the rate and inventory management logistics within the hospitality industry. This Manager directs and manages the loading and maintenance of all hotel room rates & inventory, including promotions and proper marketing techniques and strategies and ensures rate parity. As a Reservation and Marketing Manager you would be responsible for executing your position’s responsibilities in alignment with our culture, and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Lead and motivate staff, both under your responsibility and throughout the organization, to achieve and exceed performance goals and guest service standards
  • Coordinate analysis, maintenance, and smooth operation of the company’s website(s), social media, and any other online presence
  • Generate innovative ideas to increase web traffic
  • Produce and manage EDMs
  • Develop SEO-friendly web content for a wide range of users. Includes strategic key phrase placement within compelling and persuasive marketing copy, which maximizes opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-throughs, and conversions; Analyses SEO and marketing metrics
  • Design and implement company digital strategies within budget requirements
  • Manage analytics of marketing calendar, promotions, and recommends actions based on analytics
  • Maintain industry trends and available marketing tools and resources
  • Maximize revenue by utilizing sales strategies that capitalize on marketing successes
  • Ensure appropriate service levels and the efficient operation of reservation systems and processes
  • Train reservations staff members in all elements of their employment, including sales skills, technical skills, ideology, organizational culture and standards, and performance
  • Providing support to properties for accommodations and/or maintaining property information on the pertinent websites
  • Manage and refine the relationship with resort operations, sales and marketing departments
  • Maintain our presence on various online distribution channels
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and marketing partners
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily and weekly occupancy forecasts
  • Develop and manage relationships with local vendors, attractions, restaurants and hotel partners to support regional needs
  • Conduct daily/weekly rate and availability checks on various platforms
  • Assist in the preparation of market visits, operational planning, and projects
  • Assisting in additional tasks and projects when needed ensure sales
  • Appropriately report any and all department problems, issues, and opportunities as they occur
  • When necessary, coordinate booking of rooms, entertainment, restaurant reservation and transportation needs
  • You will also need to be versatile, flexible and adapt quickly to the latest guidelines/changes from NISADE.


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Regular driver’s license to drive in Japan
  • A minimum of 4 years experience across Management, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality or Food
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese, with employees and customers, both verbally and in writing, and must have excellent writing skills
  • Prior management experience in a hospitality environment (hotel/resort or restaurant) is required for this position
  • Guest facing customer service/ front desk experience and fluent with OTA’s (Previous Ski Resort Experience is plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database
  • Experience with marketing research survey development and prior reservations and/or revenue management experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Outstanding leadership skills
  • Great attention to detail and high sense of urgency
  • Positive attitude – teamwork orientation and overwhelming desire to please guests
  • Knowledge of key International Markets- AUS, CHINA, HK, SG, SEA, USA, UK
  • Social Media Skills/ Experience , Photography/ Video skills, Design Skills (AI, PSD, ID)
