Job Description

As the MnK Niseko Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for showcasing our unique brand through effective communication. The role will include creating and selecting content to be used in advertising, promotion, publicity, and e-commerce across print, digital and social media platforms. You will have the opportunity to impact and execute the tactical and strategic marketing plans which help to create customer engagement, loyalty and drive revenue to the company.


Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Marketing Manager will have the responsibility for the following areas:

  • Marketing strategy, planning, and implementation
  • Campaign management
  • Digital marketing
  • Social media content management
  • Advertising – Creative & Design
  • Copywriting

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan/calendar and budget focused on driving awareness, creating loyalty and improving sales for the company;
  • Create a content strategy for the website, social media platforms and email communications;
  • Support PR, social media and digital media campaigns;
  • Oversee the development, review and distribution of advertising, copywriting and other marketing collateral;
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis on social media and website statistics, campaigns;
  • Assist in the production of design materials and templates as necessary;
  • Provide design and marketing support on promotions and campaigns; and
  • Set and raise the profile of the MnK brand.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and Experience:

  • Strong written communication;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro in particular);
  • Knowledge with email marketing and design, particularly MailChimp;
  • Web development experience, particularly Webflow; and
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization.
  • Native Level English.
  • Japanese language skills are beneficial.
  • Must be eligible for or currently holding a valid Japanese working visa.
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing or another relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in a Marketing department in Japan, Niseko specifically, or the travel industry would be desirable.
