Hotel Chalet Ivy Hirafu: the recruitment of winter seasonal staff is now open!!
Chalet Ivy Hirafu is a small luxury hotel located just 3 minutes from the Grand Hirafu ski area and is celebrating its 10th anniversary last year.
In addition to a total of 78 guest rooms, the hotel is equipped with an authentic Japanese restaurant, a lounge bar, a natural hot spring, an indoor gym and a ski and snowboard rental service with concierge.
Based on the concept of “making every guest feel at home”, the hotel offers a healing space with the cosiness of a holiday home through personalised hospitality and high quality service, which can only be achieved in a small hotel.

[Working Period]
Mid-November 2023 to the end of March 2024
*Plan to come in Niseko by mid-November, with general orientation and induction procedures in November, and training work to start by the end of November.
*The ski slopes are open until early May, so those who can extend their work until early May are very welcome.
[Requirement]
Valid visa for working in Japan (Working holiday visa etc.)
English or Japanese speaking, preferably Mandarin Cantonese
[Job Openings]
1. Front desk staff (Including night shift)
Job description: Hotel front deskduties (check in and check out duties, bell duties), arranging various guest services, hotel room reservation duties, etc.
Qualifications: Can interact with guests in English, candidates with experience preferred, candidates who can work night shifts highly welcome
Other: *You may be requested to work some night shifts. (Requests for only daytime work negotiable)
2. Night Auditor = Night shift front desk staff
Job description: Hotel front deskduties (check in and check out information management), arranging various guest services, hotel room reservation duties, etc.
Qualifications: Can interact with guests in English, candidates with experience preferred, candidates with confidence in physical capacity
Other: Main shift is night shift, but day shift may be available on occasion. Night shifts are from 21:00 to 06:00 the following day.
3. Front of House = Restaurant serivice staff
Job description: Restaurant hall duties, such as taking orders, serving dishes, and clearing plates
Qualifications: Preferential treatment for candidates who can interact with guests in English and with experience (Candidates without experience are welcome as long as you have motivation!)
Other: Experience working as a bartender or sommelier is a plus.
4. Ski Concierge
Job description: Assist guests with snow sports rental equipment -skis, snowboards, boots, wear, etc., and managing rental equipment.
Qualifications: Can interact with guests in English, candidates with experience preferred, skiing/snowboarding experience, love customer service
Other: If you can give advice to guests on how to enjoy the mountain (e.g. snow conditions on the day, recommended courses, etc.), you are most welcome!
[Salary]
Hourly wage from JPY1,450- (based on experience and skills)
+ repeater bonus for repeating staff
+ language bonus (Speakers of at least two of the following languages: Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese) for customer service staff
*25% more per hour during late night hours (10pm-5am) !
[Working Hours]
30 to 40 hours per week, (6-8 hours a day)
*Full-time work is highly welcome!
