*Dependent on snow. Work within the bar part time also an option for some candidates.
Wage
Negotiable depending on accommodation requirements.
Accommodation:
Private Bar Gyu+ staff house in the Hirafu (main ski area), Kabayama Home is a new house with 9 private rooms, two bathrooms, two shower units, two kitchens, laundry, parking with road heating, dry room for gear and wear, wifi, fully furnished kitchen/living & bedrooms.
The house is serviced with a cleaner twice a month, sheets provided and laundered every two weeks.
Rent is all inclusive ¥30,000/month (private room)
Position
Clearing the snow from both Bar Gyu location in Hirafu before 15:00 most days, including roof.
Keeping the entrance at Kabayama Home clear, the staff house close-by, and occasionally the Little Door Office.
Clearing the roof regularly at the staff house throughout the season.
Use of shovels, large shovels and a large snow blower.
Hours determined by amount of snow daily and can be self managed.
Skills
You do not need to have prior experience but are:
1. Physically fit
2. Able to use machinery safely
3. Drive legally in Japan (with an international license)
4. Positive and willing to learn
5. Friendly and energetic
6. Responsible and trustworthy
7. Attention to cleanliness and safety
Basic English and Japanese language skill (Or the willingness to learn fast! )

About us
Bar Gyu+ was founded in 1999 and is now one of the oldest establishments in Niseko. In its 23rd year the bar has become an institution in the local community playing a central role in the promotion of the area as a food and drink destination. The bar is well known for its tiny vintage Coke-a-Cola vending machine door, but is also known for one of Japan’s largest collections of rare Japanese whiskies. We serves classically inspired cocktails, a large selection of sake, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks.
Our team is an international group of people and throughout the winter we host many guest chefs, bartenders and artists from all over the world.
We have been featured in The New York Times, National Geographic online, BBC, Vogue and a number of other international and domestic publications, ski and snowboard films most notably The Warmth of Winter (DPS) and Saturation.
