Cow Parade Niseko Cow Auction launching 01 September
31 August 2015
The Cow Parade Niseko Executive Committee are excited to announce that we will be launching an online Cow auction on 01 September that will run until 01 October 2015.
A major part of the Cow Parade world wide event is the charity element, in which individuals, corporates or sponsors are given a chance to buy one or more of the Cows that have been on display as part of the Cow Parade Niseko and all of the money raised is donated to charity.
Our chosen charity is the Tokyo based NPO, Shine On! Kids, which supports a number of programs aimed at Children with cancer and other serious illness.
Traditionally the Cows are sold off at a Live Auction, however we have adapted the auction to an online silent Auction as we believe this will have a wider reach and more appropriate for the Japanese buyers.
The auction will run from 01 September to 01 October and the successful bidders will be announced at an event to be held in Niseko on 03 October.

About Shine On Kids
The Tyler Foundation was incorporated as a Non-Profit Organisation under the laws of Japan in July 2006 and has been supported entirely by private and corporate donations. The creation of the organisation was inspired by the smiles and courage of Mark and Kim Ferris’ son Tyler, who spent much of his short life battling a very difficult-to-cure kind of leukaemia.
After they lost Tyler, they realised there were many ways to take Tyler’s struggles and their experience and create something positive for families going through what they had endured. While the level of medical treatment in Japan is one of the best in the world, the area of patient support is still relatively undeveloped. The organisation hopes to redefine the concept of patient support in Japan to create a complete patient support system: from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and even after discharge from hospital.
